Sitapur girl abducted, raped and abandoned in Haryana

LUCKNOW: A 17-year-old was abducted from Sitapur and taken to Haryana where she was gangraped and abandoned by three youths.
The survivor reportedly sold her anklets to return home and narrated her ordeal to her parents.
Police said the survivor’s family named a youth, Alok, and two of his unidentified associates in the FIR. Alok has been detained and is being questioned.
SHO, Mehmoodabad, Anil Dubey said, “On June 16, the survivor’s family lodged a complaint that the girl has gone missing.However, on June 28, the girl returned home and narrated her ordeal.”
The girl told cops that Alok, who was known to her, abducted her on the pretext of sightseeing. She said the accused took her to Lucknow and then to Haryana where they raped and dumped her.
“The girl said she sold her anklet as she did not have money to return home. We are yet to record her statement before a magistrate. She is undergoing treatment at district hospital,” the SHO said.
