MYSURU: Karnataka deputy chief minister Laxman Savadi, reacting to the fatal accident involving a car belonging to his son Chidananda Savadi, said his son was not in the car when the accident happened.
Speaking to reporters in Mysuru, the deputy chief minister said it was a clear case of a road accident and there was no confusion in it.
A farmer in Bagalkot district succumbed to injuries after the speeding car hit his two-wheeler late on Monday.

Villagers there claimed Chidananda was present in the car but the deputy CM has denied it.
Chidananda Savadi has not been named in the first information report.
"My son has immediately rushed to the aid of the injured farmer but he couldn't save him. I will personally visit the farmer's house to console his family members and do the best possible help," said Savadi.
