Uttar Pradesh: Britannia to set up factory in Barabanki district

FMCG major Britannia Industries is setting up a plant in Barabanki district with an investment of Rs 300 crore. Industrial development minister Satish Mahana said, the company has purchased land and will begin work shortly. “This project will generate employment of at least 1,000 people. The bakery product manufacturing unit will also benefit farmers in the hinterland,” Mahana said on Friday.

With the state government providing a conducive environment to industrialists, UP has witnessed mammoth investments over four years, he said.
