Seven killed in rain-related incidents in Uttar Pradesh’s Sitapur

As many as seven people were killed and two injured in three separate incidents of wall and roof collapse following incessant rain in Sitapur district, 50 km from the state capital. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath condoled the loss of lives and directed the officials to reach the spot for providing help to the victims.

LUCKNOW: As many as seven people were killed and two injured in three separate incidents of wall and roof collapse following incessant rain in Sitapur district, 50 km from the state capital. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath condoled the loss of lives and directed the officials to reach the spot for providing help to the victims.
In the first incident, reported from Laksminpur village, four persons identified as Lalli Devi (50), Shailendra (10), Shiva (8) and Neeraj (2) belonging to the same family -- died when a wall and a tin shed collapsed on them due to rains.

In the second incident, reported from Nankari village, Ram Lotan (42) and his wife Anita (38) died after a wall collapsed on them, whereas, in the third incident a 60-year-old man in Sadarpur police station area was killed as a thatched roof fell on him due to heavy rain. Bodies have been sent for a post mortem examination, said superintendent of police, Sitapur, RP Singh.
