THE STATE IS HOLDING A PUBLIC MEETING TODAY TO PREPARE FOR IF AND WHEN VACCINES ARE AUTHORIZED FOR THAT AGE GROUP. ACCORDING TO A NOTICE ABOUT THE HEARING, LAWMAKERS WLIL CONSIDER HOW THE ROLLOUT FOR YOUNG CHILDREN WILL BE DIFFERENT THAN THE PROCESS FOR ADULTS, WITH THE MESSAGING SHOULD BE, AND SUGGESTIONS FOR DISTRIBUTION. THE HEARING WILL BE AT THE MUSEUM OF SCIENCE AND WILL BE LIVE-STREAMED. YOU CAN EXPECT EMERGENCY EUS AUTHORIZATION FOR CHILDREN AGES FIVE TO 11 FOR THE VACCINE IN SEPTEMBER OR OCTOBER. ANOTHER QUESTION IS WHETHER STUDENTS WILL WEAR MASKS IN SCHOOLS THIS YEAR. BOSTON’S MAYOR HAS SAID STUDENTS WILL WEAR SKMAS IN BUSES AND SCHOOL BUILDINGS
