Not living in the real world

Let’s make sure that Pritzker, who is running again for governor, does not get reelected. He applies all the mandates on the little people, but not on himself or his family members. He puts on a show for the cameras, but behind the screen it’s something else. He’s a hypocrite. Let’s not vote Pritzker back in again. He does not live in the real world of the middle income and the regular people.

Get these stale ones out

I’m calling regarding Ann Taylor, our new mayor in Waukegan. It was time we got a new mayor and I think she’s going to try to do her best, but if she doesn’t have the backup with her aldermen it’s going to be hard for her. When they were working for the previous mayor, they did things. They only do what they want, so I feel sorry for her. But what we’ve got to do is remember when it comes time to vote for these aldermen is to get these stale ones out. Get some fresh ones in, and some that will go along and help the mayor, rather than fight or put their brakes on and not go along.

Shoplifting is the norm

People have really gone crazy, especially in California. There are more and more stores that are being ransacked, and shoplifting has gone crazy. Why should anyone pay for their merchandise if shoplifting is a norm now? Why should the everyday person have to pay for their merchandise when people just gather their items and walk out. If I were an everyday person, I wouldn’t bother to pay either.

Send the check

Where’s my refund? I filed my income tax in March of 2021 for the year 2020. It was confirmed by the IRS that they received my tax information, and I’ve been waiting for four months for my refund. I am a veteran, and I am also a senior citizen on Social Security. I pay income taxes on my Social Security, and my bank interest, and my small pension that I receive. But I am still waiting after four months. And all that I get when I dial their hotline is that it’s still being processed.

Simple as that

I keep reading that they’re trying to get people to get their vaccinations. Why don’t these companies do something? If I owned a company, you wouldn’t be working there unless you had your vaccinations. You wouldn’t be coming back. All these people who have been working at home, you wouldn’t be coming back unless you’ve got the vaccination. It’s for the safety of all the other people that work at these places. And I think the factories or companies should have the right to do it. And then the vaccinations would get done, or you don’t have a job. Simple as that.

Shorter trains please

This is ridiculous. I’ve been sitting here for 15 minutes waiting for a train to pass here on Wadsworth, full of tanker cars. Traffic is lined up all the way back to 41 and all the way to Delaney on the other side. When are they going to stop this garbage? Limit the length of your trains, please.

Update the site

I just pulled up Waukegan’s, City of Progress, Illinois website, looking for information about the next City Council meeting. Looking at it, the members have Sam Cunningham listed as mayor. That’s pretty pathetic when the website cannot update and put in Ann Taylor, our new Waukegan mayor’s name. That doesn’t show her any respect. I think it’s terrible. You must all be part of the good old boys group. Please update it, it’s very embarrassing.
