Oracle Swarna Latha promised to stand by the people and protect them from the pandemic at the ‘
Rangam,’ an important event in the two-day
Lashkar Bonalu, held at the inner sanctum of the 200-year old
Ujjaini Mahankali temple in Secunderabad on Monday.
Standing on a clay pot wearing a yellow sari and with turmeric smeared on her face, the oracle answered the questions posed by the temple’s head priest.

Stay strong and brave and overcome all challenges and I will support you during all your problems.”
Asked about devotees offering
Bonams this year amid the pandemic, she said, “I am happy that despite the many hurdles being faced by all of you, you offered the Bonam.” The priest also sought the oracle’s message for the people to stay safe during the pandemic. “I will stand by the people and take up the responsibility to protect our devotees and will never disappoint,” the oracle said. The event lasted for about 10 minutes.
