A new Korean restaurant has opened its doors today (July 27) in Ramsbottom - and the spot is already booked up for days.

The owners of KimJi first launched their restaurant in the centre of Preston in October, 2018 after seeing that the area needed 'good quality, interesting food choices'.

The menu was created with the help of traditional Korean chefs, using original South Korean family recipes, and serves up a host of classic options including Korea's national dish kimchi, sweet and savoury Korean barbeque, and classic Korean fried chicken.

In its first two years of business, KimJi has developed a stellar reputation, earning plenty of five-star reviews on Tripadvisor and Google from punters praising its 'amazing' food.

One reviewer, Amber Burgess, said: "Stunning and delicious food. Served quickly and the staff were very attentive. Would totally recommend the seafood bibambap which is a traditional Korean rice dish.

"Huge portion, very filling and super tasty. My first time here and it will not be [the] last."

Another reviewer posted: "Honestly some of the best food I've had in my life, this restaurant just urges you to come back once you've had that first bite."

Now, KimJi, run by husband and wife duo Sam and Mandy Chen, is opening its second location in Bolton Street, Ramsbottom.

The restaurant hired local hands to decorate the interior, and has also made use of Bury traders in the supply of vegetables and meat needed for dishes.

In a post on Facebook, the owners said: "KimJi Ramsbottom is finally ready to open our door after months of hard work from our new team!"

The restaurant opening has been met with excitement from Ramsbottom locals, with the place already fully booked for its first few days, from July 27 to 30.

But if you missed out, don't worry - tables for future dates can still be reserved in advance on the KimJi website.

The owners added: "Thank you amazing people and we can’t wait to welcome everybody."
