The third annual God and Country Music Festival will be held at 10 a.m. and again at 2:30 p.m. Aug. 7 at Centennial Park. This is one event in two, four-hour sessions honoring veterans and first responders, highlighting the effects of PTSD. Presented by Harvest Connections, this event is free to the public. Donations and sponsors are welcomed. There will be music by Country Wide Band, WestSide Rhythm Kings, Barry Ward, SonShine Wash Tub Band, Trey Taylor, Debi Moore and Applewood. There will be information on PTSD, ceremonies and a food truck. Attendees should bring a lawn chair for seating.

Annual Back to School Cram the Ram event slated for Aug. 7 at Office Depot

Office Depot and City Auto Plaza are teaming up to host the annual Back to School Cram the Ram event from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Aug. 7 at Office Depot, located at 2765 E. Main St. The new school year is approaching and the team hopes to gather more donations than ever. Donations of school supplies may be dropped off at either business now through Aug. 7.
