UP: ADJ's vehicle hit by speeding SUV on Prayagraj-Fatehpur highway in Kaushambi

PRAYAGRAJ: Police are probing the vehicle collision case wherein the car of additional district and session judge (ADJ) (Pocso court) posted at Fatehpur district was allegedly hit by a speeding SUV near Chakwan crossing under the limits of Kokhraj police station of Kaushambi district. The accident happened late on Thursday night.
Inspector general of police, Prayagraj range, KP Singh told TOI that the accident took place when the ADJ (Pocso), Mohd Ahmad, was returning to Fatehpur from Prayagraj.
The IG further added that a police team was conducting technical investigations into the accident. He, however, said that both groups were not known to each other.
Preliminary police investigations, as per IG, revealed that the incident took place in an attempt to overtake the ADJ’s vehicle. He, however, said that police have been probing the case thoroughly and the the ADJ has also submitted an application (intention of killing) with police station concerned regarding the incident.
The car of the ADJ was damaged in the accident. The driver and gunner of ADJ reportedly sustained minor injuries.
