TuSimple Links Autonomous Trucking Efforts With Ryder

San Diego-based TuSimple, which is developing a fleet of autonomous trucks, says it has linked with Ryder, where the two will look to leverage Ryder's fleet maintenance facilities as terminals for TuSimple's fleet of autonomous vehicles. TuSimple says that at the moment, it has more than 50 autonomous trucks which are moving freight across Arizona, New Mexico, and Texas. TuSimple's Level-4 autonomous trucks are aimed at serving as long-haul transportation. According to TuSimple, using Ryder's facilities will offer up a tart and end point for autonomous driving missions, with ability to have multiple heavy-duty trucks and trailers come and go 24 hours per day, 365 days per year.
