Lollapalooza Music Festival Cancels DaBaby’s Performance Over Homophobic Remarks

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — If you planned on watching DaBaby perform at Lollapalooza this year, get ready for Young Thug instead. Lollapalooza dropped DaBaby from its Sunday lineup after the rapper made homophobic comments during his set at another music festival last weekend.

Lollapalooza officials took to Twitter to say “Lollapalooza was founded on diversity, inclusivity, respect, and love. With that in mind, DaBaby will no longer be performing at Grant Park tonight.”

Instead, Young Thug will take the Bud Light Seltzer Stage at 9 p.m., with G Herbo performing at 4 p.m. on the T-Mobile Stage.

At the Rolling Loud festival in Miami on Sunday, July 25th, DaBaby asked fans to shine their cellphone lights if they “didn’t show up today with HIV/AIDS, any of them deadly sexually transmitted diseases that will make you die in two to three weeks.”

DaBaby made several false and insulting comments about gay men and HIV during his performance at the festival, even crudely talking about women.

The clothing brand Bohoo has also stopped working with DaBaby after his remarks saying “BoohooMAN condemns the use of homophobic language and confirms we will no longer be working with DaBaby.”
