A 19-year-old from Buchanan is now a silver medalist in Women’s BMX Freestyle at the Tokyo Olympics. Hannah Roberts was among the favorites as a three-time world champion and finished second to Great Britain’s Charlotte Worthington. Her hometown held a watch party for her Saturday at Buchanan Common. Her mother, Betty Roberts, says Hannah had to compete with boys for years as she was one of the first girls competing in BMX.
