UST chalks out hiring plan to keep up with demand for digitalisation

Pune: UST, a provider of digital technology and transformation solutions, plans to hire more than 10,000 people globally this year as it looks to keep up with the accelerated demand for digitalisation.

The company has 26,000 employees at present.

According to the California-based company, the fresh hiring would include 2,000 entry-level engineering jobs where a candidate would require skills in cybersecurity, app development and modernisation and automation, among others. The firm will add more engineers and creative thinkers, it said.

“These new hires will support the ongoing development of our industry-leading products and platforms that will scale with the considerable growing demand for our solutions,” said Manu Gopinath, joint chief operating officer at UST.

The company, which has about 15,000 employees in India, declined to share how many of the new positions would be added here.

The hiring would be split across North America, South America, Europe, Australia and the Asia Pacific regions. “With our flexibility and hybrid workplace culture, we embrace solving business-critical problems of our customers and promote entrepreneurship as they are the catalysts of innovation,” added Alexander Varghese, joint chief operating officer at UST.
