    Shipsy announces appointments to key leadership positions

    Supply chain and logistics management platform Shipsy today said that it has appointed Deb Deep Sengupta as an advisor and Mohamed Reza as head of marketing. The company also said that it has promoted Pradeep Mishra to the post of director of engineering.
    Sengupta is an alumnus of London Business School, and was previously president and managing director at software giant SAP. As an Advisor, Sengupta will be overseeing the planning and execution of business strategies to improve operational efficiency and financial management.

    Shipsy was founded in 2015 in Gurgaon. The company said it leverages artifical intellgence (AI) and big data to design and develop low-code SaaS solutions to improve operational efficiency across sectors. The brand has its regional headquarter in Dubai (UAE). Last year the company raised $6mn in Series A round led by Sequoia Capital India’s Surge and existing investor Info Edge.


    Reza previously worked at MetricStream where he was the Director of Strategic Initiatives and the Head of Marketing for Europe. The company said that Reza will be responsible for building Shipsy’s presence in newer regions, primarily the Middle East.

    Commenting on the novel hirings, Soham Chokshi, CEO & Co-Founder of Shipsy said, “Going forward, we need a strong suite of leaders to drive our business at a global stage. We are certain that the recent hirings and elevations will bring a mix of the domain-expertise and fresh outlook, needed to assist our efforts in achieving our growth objectives.”
