UP: Criminal shoots at himself in Pratapgarh to implicate three accomplices

A 22-year-old Pratapgarh-based criminal shot at himself on his lower abdomen region on August 6 in order to try to implicate three of his accomplices with whom he had executed a sensational loot in Utrav area in trans Ganga pocket of Prayagrah district in UP last month.

As he didn’t want to share the booty, he planned to implicate his accomplices and shot himself near Misirpur Mustaraka village under the limits of Mandhata police station of Pratapgarh district on August 6.
PRAYAGRAJ: A 22-year-old Pratapgarh-based criminal shot at himself on his lower abdomen region on August 6 in order to try to implicate three of his accomplices with whom he had executed a sensational loot in Utrav area in trans Ganga pocket of Prayagrah district in UP last month.
As he didn’t want to share the booty, he planned to implicate his accomplices and shot himself near Misirpur Mustaraka village under the limits of Mandhata police station of Pratapgarh district on August 6.

The criminal identified as Noor Mohammad alias Paglu, a resident of Misirpur Mustarka, was taken into custody by the Pratapgarh police on Saturday after he went through treatment at a hospital in Prayagraj.
The criminal himself informed police about the shootout with the claim that two unidentified bike-borne miscreants had shot at him and left him critically injured.
The police acting upon the complaint has lodged a case under sections 195 and 307 of the IPC with Mandhata police station and started investigations.
The senior cops were stunned on Saturday when they came to know that the criminal had hatched the conspiracy to implicate his accomplices with whom he had committed a loot in Utrav in Prayagraj district.
Deputy SP (Raniganj) Atul Anjan Tripathi told TOI that Noor Mohammad had a dispute with his accomplices over the share of booty and he in order to implicate them in a fake case had hatched the entire conspiracy and got himself shot on August 6 outside the native village.

He added when police connected links regarding the shootout incident during investigations, cops found that the criminal wanted to implicate his gang’s accomplices and got himself shot with the help of an illegal weapon.
Noor, who has around half a dozen criminal cases pending against him in different police stations of Prayagraj and Pratapgarh, is a hardened criminal.
Police on Saturday also recovered a 0.315 bore countrymade pistol and one used cartridge which he had used to injure himself.
