HYDERABAD: To ensure 100 per cent Covid vaccination, a door-to-door survey will begin in the Secunderabad Cantonment area from Monday.
On Sunday, the Hyderabad Collector L Sharvan convened a meeting with SCB chief executive officer, B Ajith Reddy at SCB main office, in Secunderabad Cantonment and instructed them to reach the target of every eligible person to administer Covid-19 vaccine doses.
The Telangana medical and health department had taken up a special drive of Covid vaccination, for the past five months, but noticed that still many eligible people can’t get doses, due to either shortage of vials and panic about side effects of doses.

A total of 150 special teams have been set up to take part in the door-to-door survey. These teams will visit residential colonies, individual houses and slums and collect details of vaccinated and non-vaccinated people, and the doses, a SCB official and in-charge of survey, Parusuram told TOI.
Simultaneously, vaccination drives will also start from August 25, in the designated vaccination centres. Non-vaccinated people, found during the survey, will have asked them to visit vaccination centres and get doses. A sticker (with signature of official concerned) will be pasted at the front door, if the survey team noticed that all the eligible persons got vaccinated in a particular house, replied the Cantonment Board official.
“Co-operate with the survey teams while attending the survey work and avail the opportunity of vaccine to get rid of Covid-19 pandemic, official appealed to “residential welfare associations’ (RWAs) of the Cantonment Board.
