HYDERABAD: Chairman and Lok Sabha MP, Parliament Standing Committee on Defence (
PSCOD), Jual Oram has assured to a two-member delegation of Federation of North Eastern Colonies of Secunderabad to resolve the closure of 21 civilian roads in Secunderabad Cantonment.
PSCOD team arrived Secunderabad Cantonment as part of study the civic issues, on Thursday.
The
FNECS members gave a representation, to Jual Oram, urging to reopen the 21 roads which were closed for the past 6 years.
"Chairman told us that the
Defence Ministry had already issued orders to reopen the civilian roads and accordingly opened in all the Cantonments. He said that he will discuss it with '
Local Military Authority' (LMA) regarding the road closure issue pertaining to In
Secunderab Cantonment," secretary of FNECS, C S Chandra Sekhar who met the PSCOD chairman, told TOI.
Meanwhile, a delegation of All Cantonments Citizens Welfare Association, led by general secretary, Jeteender Surana, gave a 20-page representation on new CLAR Rules-2021 and adverse effect which showing on old grant bungalows, in Secunderabad Cantonment.
Later, the PSCOD team visited Bolarum Hospital and Karkhana pumping station and reviewed the solar power system.
