Viral video: Tribal beaten, dragged behind pick-up, dies

A barbaric incident came to light where a tribal youth was beaten mercilessly, tied to a pick-up van and dragged along the road for several kilometres in Neemuch. This had earlier been passed off as a road accident, but the gory truth was revealed when a video of the incident went viral online. Police have arrested eight suspects for the murder, including the husband of a sarpanch. The accused had claimed that the victim was a robber who was hit by their vehicle when he tried to attack them. The victim died in hospital and police had no trouble identifying the suspects, thanks to the video.
