HYDERABAD: Bharatiya Janata Party senior leader Gudur Narayana Reddy on Saturday charged the TRS government of failing to correct the technical issues in the Dharani portal and demanded that the government constitute a committee with IT professionals to solve the issues.
“Farmers are still facing a lot of glitches on Dharani portal eleven months after its inauguration.
Due to the inefficiency of the government in streamlining the functioning of the portal, lakhs of farmers are in utter distress. Even the issues pertaining to 20 lakh acres which were placed under prohibited lands category are yet to be addressed,” he alleged.
“There are allegations that Dharani Portal has become a tool in the hands of the fraudsters. Land registration certificates have been issued in the name of children even before they are born. Fake passbooks are reportedly being circulated. The government should look into these aspects seriously,” he said.
Thousands of farmers are getting vexed after visiting the Tehsildar offices several times to take their issues to the notice of the concerned officers. When a farmer submits a complaint to the Dharani portal, they would be informed that the issue has been forwarded to the MRO office.
“But when the complainant is meeting the MRO, he or she is being told that the issue has been referred to the district collector. The district collector is saying that it has been referred to the higher ups in the government,” Gudur Narayana Reddy alleged.
.
“Lots of manipulations are taking place with the help of the revenue staff and officials. I have proof to prove my allegations. I dare the Chief Secretary to come for a live debate on my allegations,” he said.
