Uttar Pradesh: Bailable warrant in Sultanpur against shooter for forging Smriti Irani’s signature

A local court in Sultanpur has issued a bailable warrant against international shooter Vartika Singh in connection with a case related to forging of signature of Union minister for women and child welfare Smriti Irani.

LUCKNOW: A local court in Sultanpur has issued a bailable warrant against international shooter Vartika Singh in connection with a case related to forging of signature of Union minister for women and child welfare Smriti Irani.
Vartika and dental surgeon Dr Rajnish Kumar are accused in the case. Kumar was sent to judicial custody on September 3. The two have allegedly forged signatures of Irani on a bogus letter announcing the appointment of Vartika as member of National Women Commission.

An FIR was lodged by Vijay Gupta, an aide of Irani, on November 23, 2020, said Parshuram Ojha, SHO, Musafirkhana police station, Amethi. Gupta had accused Vartika and former Congress MP Kamal Kishore Commando of circulating bogus documents on social media to malign the image of Irani.
