Guards held hostage, 4 steal factory items
Ghaziabad: A gang of armed robbers allegedly broke into a factory in Kavi Nagar late Wednesday night after taking two security guards at gunpoint. The factory owner is identified as Aadil Aggarwal, a resident of Kavi Nagar. The company makes voltage stabiliser and power transformers. As per the FIR, around 1am four armed robbers entered into the factory after climbing its boundary wall.
“Two security guards — Ratiram and Naresh — were deployed at the factory.
Before they could understand anything, the assailants took them at gunpoint, tied them with a rope and put them in the factory owner’s office. The gang loaded all 60 bundles of aluminium along with other items in their vehicle and fled. While leaving, they also took away the mobile phones of both the guards. When the factory’s employees came in the morning, they rescued the guards and informed the owner,” the FIR stated. “The accused had also taken a CCTV camera along with a DVR system. Two teams have been formed to nab the culprits,” Sharma said.
