GREATER NOIDA: A 28-year-old worker of a guest house in Greater Noida was allegedly beaten up by his employers and their friends for demanding his salary that, he claimed, was pending for two months.
Mukesh had come from Aligarh two months ago and started working at the guest house for a monthly salary of Rs 8,000 a month.
“He hadn’t been paid for the past two months.
A few days ago, when his wife was unwell, he asked his employers to clear his dues. Instead of giving him the salary, they accused him of stealing a phone and thrashed him along with their friends,” said Dharmendra, Mukesh’s brother.
The guest house owners — Prince and his brother Sheetal — were arrested along with their friends — Rajesh and Ram.
“A case has been lodged against the four persons under Section 323 (voluntarily causing hurt) of the IPC,” said Rameshwar Kumar, the SHO of Beta 2 police station.
