Kidnapped 5-year-old boy rescued, accused arrested

Gorakhpur: Gorakhpur police freed a 5-year-old boy within 24 hours and booked the accused under the charges of kidnapping .
As per reports, 5-year-old Abhashu, son of Baijnath Maurya, a resident of Sonoura Buzurg village under Campierganj police station limit went missing since Friday afternoon and when the family was not able to find the child till late evening they informed police at around 11 pm.
Campierganj police under the instructions of SP North/CO Campierganj Manoj Kumar Awasthi , reached the village and recovered the missing boy in the morning and handed over to the family.
Police recovered the boy from the possession of a man of the village. He kidnapped the boy to put pressure on the family for marriage, police said.
“The boy was kidnapped by one Dinesh Yadav of the village as he had affair with the boy’s aunt and the family was not ready for marriage and to put pressure on them he kidnapped the boy however police recovered the boy from his possession and also arrested the accused under the charges of kidnapping from the village.” SHO Campierganj SP Singh said.
