Racing Louisville forward Nadia Nadim is out for the rest of the season after tearing her ACL, the team confirmed Tuesday.The team said in a statement that Nadim tore the ligament while playing against the Orlando Pride Saturday. She will undergo surgery in the coming weeks, but the recovery will stretch into 2022.Just days before her injury, she was called up to join the Denmark National Team for the start of the 2023 World Cup qualifying."I am ready to do everything to return and am motivated to get back on the field," Nadim said in a statement.Now she’ll eye a return to the pitch before next summer’s UEFA Women’s Euro 2022.Nadim scored two goals last Oct. 20 in a victory over Italy, being named Player of the Match in a win that qualified Denmark for the tournament.
