Man dies in road accident near Coimbatore

COIMBATORE: A 65-year-old man died after a truck hit the two-wheeler he was riding on near Chettipalayam in Coimbatore district of Tamil Nadu on Tuesday evening.
The deceased has been identified as P Mayilsamy, 65, of Golf Garden Road in Chettipalayam. The accident happened on the Chettipalayam-Malumichampatti Road. A truck moving in the same direction hit the two-wheeler, killing Mayilsamy on the spot.
The Chettipalayam police registered a case under Section 304 (a) (causing death by negligence) of the IPC.The police, who got the registration number of the truck, started searches for the driver.
Inspector Mathayyan is conducting an inquiry.
