Haryana set to breach 2 crore Covid-19 vaccination mark

CHANDIGARH: Haryana is all set to breach the 2 crore Covid-19 vaccinations coverage mark by Saturday as more than six lakh people were administered the vaccine jabs on Wednesday, taking the coverage count to 1.97 crore.
Health authorities have planned mega camps on Thursday and Friday.
Meanwhile, 12 new Covid-19 cases, one death and 24 recoveries were reported during the day.

Haryana Directorate General Of Health Services (DGHS) Veena Singh confirmed that preparations are on to cross the two-crore mark of Covid-19 vaccination on Thursday. "We are making all efforts and people are really coming forward," she said.
According to information, of the total 60,5,667 vaccine doses given during the day, 4,34,610 were administered the first dose while 1,71,057 were given the second dose. The overall count of vaccinations in the state has reached 19788253.

Meanwhile, the cumulative case count has reached 7,70,688 cases. While 7,60,545 people have recovered, 9,808 died. At present, 105 active patients are taking treatment. Of the total active cases, only 45 are hospitalized.
The state reported the Covid-19 positivity rate of the day as 0.05% and the cumulative positivity rate was recorded at 6.40%. While recovery rate and the fatality rate were reported to be 98.68% and 1.27%, respectively.
The highest eight cases were reported from the Gurugram district followed by two from Faridabad and one each from Hisar and Panchkula districts.
