Noida/Ghaziabad: Surveillance in Noida has identified 2,033 people with fever, 15,000 children under the age of two who are due for immunisation and 56,489 people over the age of 45 who are yet to get Covid vaccine. About 10 lakh households in Ghaziabad and another nine lakh in Noida were covered in the survey over the past 10 days. While the drive in Noida was supposed to end on Thursday, some teams will go out on Friday to cover the remaining households, said a health official.
Those due for routine and Covid immunisation will be covered in special drives this month, he added.
In Ghaziabad, about 2,000 teams conducted the survey daily and identified 2,910 people with Covid symptoms. About 1,272 people had cold and cough for less than two weeks and another 51 for over two weeks.
Dr RK Gupta, district surveillance officer, said given the surge in dengue, malaria and scrub typhus cases, surveillance will continue this month.
