Jammu: BSF organises Fit India freedom run under 'Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav'

To promote fitness, the Border Security Force (BSF) in Jammu organised Fit India Movement Run-2.0 at Frontier headquarters, BSF Paloura Camp under the programme of 'Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav' on Friday.

JAMMU: To promote fitness, the Border Security Force (BSF) in Jammu organised Fit India Movement Run-2.0 at Frontier headquarters, BSF Paloura Camp under the programme of 'Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav' on Friday.
A BSF spokesperson said, "Today at about 6 am, D K Tolia , DIG, BSF Frontier Headquarter, Jammu, flagged off the run from Hargobind Bhatnagar stadium, in which over 400 BSF personnel, including officers, subordinate officers and jawans participated with full enthusiasm and joy."
After the completion of the run, Tolia stated that it has been organized as part of the celebrations of 75th Independence anniversary programmes and the objective of such events are to create awareness about fitness and leading a healthy life, and also to generate a sense of pride among the BSF personnel and their family members."
He further stated that it’s the duty of each BSF personnel to keep their body fit so that they can perform their border duties with full enthusiasm.

He reiterated that more such types of events are planned subsequently in the year in the run-up to the Independence day celebration in 2022 as a part of Fit India campaign."
