Hathras case: HC to hear plea for relief

LUCKNOW: The Lucknow bench of Allahabad high court is set to hear a plea on September 24 as to what are benefits under SC/ST Act and rules framed thereunder that may be provided to family members of Hathras victim.
A bench of Justice Rajan Roy and Justice Jaspreet Singh passed the order on a PIL filed after the Hathras incident in which the cremation of the victim girl was not done in a proper way.
It was earlier brought to notice of the bench that the family of the victim was not yet provided any house by the state government. It was also pleaded that the family can also be given Rs 5,000 monthly pension, agricultural land and other benefits.
