Four more cases of dengue were recorded in the city on Friday, taking the count since August to 90.

LUCKNOW: Four more cases of dengue were recorded in the city on Friday, taking the count since August to 90.
A four-year-old girl from Hardoi also reportedly died of dengue, but authorities denied having any knowledge about it.
Among new cases, one each was reported from Alambagh, Aliganj, Telibagh and Indiranagar. All patients are male and their condition is stable .
They have been prescribed medicines and are recuperating at home.
Incharge of vector borne disease unit, Dr KP Tripathi, said they are monitoring the condition of patients.
Health department also found larvae of the aedes aegypti mosquito at 30 places after scanning 1,555 houses in Faizullaganj, Balaganj, Rajnikhand areas. Larvae were found in broken pots at roof, desert coolers, abandoned tyres, drums and flower pots.
The girl from Hardoi reportedly died of dengue at Balrampur hospital. She was admitted to the hospital in a critical condition with low platelet count on Wednesday. Her father Nafees said she was referred to Lucknow by doctors in Hardoi after her condition deteriorated.
However, Balrampur hospital medical superintendent Dr Himanshu Chaturvedi said, “We have not yet received information about any dengue death in the hospital.”
