Manchester United travel to east London on Sunday to face an in-form West Ham United, with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's men looking to bounce back from their disappointing Champions League defeat to Young Boys.

United and the Hammers have played out some classics over the years, and Sunday's clash has the potential to be one of the best of the lot.

A team boasting the likes of Declan Rice, Saïd Benrahma, Jarrod Bowen and Tomáš Souček is always going to be a threat, but United will know what to expect and they'll fancy their chances of claiming all three points at the London Stadium.

To get you into the mood ahead of the game, United Fan Brands Writer, Omar Garrick, has picked out his favourite contests between the pair - no points for guessing which team won all three of the games picked.

3. Manchester United 4-1 West Ham (May 2008)

This was back when United just couldn't stop winning! The victory moved United to within one win of the Premier League title and, in all honesty, it never looked in doubt.

Cristiano Ronaldo scored from 12 yards after three minutes and shinned in his 40th goal of the campaign midway through the first half to double his and United's tally.

Carlos Tevez then scored a sensational goal against his former club, though Dean Ashton offered the visitors a glimmer of hope after he powered home a sensational overhead kick.

Michael Carrick's deflected effort put the result beyond doubt as Sir Alex Ferguson's men ran out comfortable 4-1 winners.

What a time it was back then as a United supporter.

2. Manchester United 2-0 West Ham (October 2008)

I was there for this and what a day it was.

There was still a buzz in the air at Old Trafford following the arrival of Dimitar Berbatov, and the atmosphere at Old Trafford was electric as United fans prepared to cheer on the Premier League champions.

Those lucky enough to be in attendance were given a glimpse of why United had paid £30 million for Berbatov as he pulled off one of the most outrageous pieces of skill I've ever seen.

Cristiano Ronaldo of Manchester United celebrates with Nani after scoring his second goal during the Barclays Premier League match between Manchester United and West Ham United at Old Trafford on October 29, 2008 in Manchester, England.
Ronaldo has enjoyed his fair share of success against West Ham

The Bulgarian striker looked to be going nowhere as defender James Collins closed him down, but somehow he managed to stop the ball and drag it beyond the West Ham centre-back before teeing up Cristiano Ronaldo.

Ronaldo stole the headlines with both of the goals in United's 2-0, but the game will forever be remembered for that piece of skill from the mesmeric Berbatov.

1. West Ham 2-4 Manchester United (April 2011)

WHAT A GAME!

United were 2-0 down and chasing the game after a Patrice Evra handball and a Nemanja Vidic foul on Carlton Cole allowed Mark Noble to twice score from the spot.

Introducing... United On My Mind

Just like you, we can’t get enough of Manchester United! That’s why we’ve decided to supplement our expansive United coverage on the Manchester Evening News with a more fan-oriented platform catered specifically to United fans - United On My Mind.

Writers and presenters who share your passion for the red side of Manchester will be producing written, visual and audio content to reflect the mood in the stands as well as the press box.

In the second half, United moved up a gear and a Wayne Rooney hat-trick spearheaded his side's comeback as they earned a 4-2 win. Javier Hernandez scored the final goal of the game to ensure the three points were heading back to Old Trafford.

The following month, Rooney scored the penalty at Blackburn Rovers that sealed the league title for United, but if they didn't win this game it could've been a very different story.

My favourite United game against West Ham.
