The Eastern New Mexico University-Roswell Associate of Science Nursing Program retains its ranking as No. 1 in New Mexico, according to a new 2021 list of the best ADN (Associate Degree in Nursing) Programs compiled by NursingProcess.org.
The program was also ranked first in the state in 2020.
According to information on the NursingProcess.org website, “Nursing Schools listed in our list of ‘Best ADN Program in Every State’ provide students with rigorous high-quality employable ADN education. These schools are well reputed and have a history of excellent NCLEX-RN Pass rates.”
NCLEX-RN is the National Council Licensure Examination for Registered Nurses.
The organization compiled a list of all the nursing schools offering ADN programs in every state and then ranked the best programs based on the following three factors: average NCLEX-RN first-time pass rates of recent five years, which represented 40% of overall score; academic quality (enrollment rate, graduation rate and retention rate), 30% of overall score; and editorial staff ratings and nursing school reputation, 30% of overall score.
NursingProcess.org states that the data required for the rankings was compiled from various sources, including State Board of Nursing websites and the Integrated Postsecondary Education Data Systems (IPEDS).
“Eastern New Mexico University has been a popular choice among ADN students for its technologically advanced campus. Its Roswell campus features the only high-tech medical simulation laboratory in the southeastern part of the state,” the website states. “Upon enrolling in its ADN program, you will study in ‘smart’ classrooms with a small student to faculty ratio, allowing you to gain the personalized attention you need.”
