BHUBANESWAR: The results of the Odisha Joint Entrance Examination (OJEE-2021) will be out by the end of this month, OJEE chairman SK Chand said on Saturday. The schedule of counselling the students for admissions will be notified following the publication of results, he added.
About 75% of the candidates, who had registered their names, appeared for this year’s OJEE exam from September 6-18.
While the examinees took the BPharm test on the first day, they appeared for the MCA test in two shifts on the last day of the exam.
Chand said OJEE is a computer-based test like JEE Mains. Around 65,500 candidates, including BTech aspirants, had registered online to appear for the exam, which was conducted in 57 centres across the state. “We had also opened three centres in Kolkata, Ranchi and Patna. We took all precautions and followed the Covid-19 protocols, set by the government, at these centres,” he added.
The OJEE is conducted every year in Odisha as a common entrance exam for admissions to undergraduate (UG)/postgraduate (PG)-level professional courses, including BTech, MTech, MBA, MCA, MArch, MPlan, MPharm and BPharm.
“We are focussing on evaluating the papers and declaring the results as soon as possible. We will then start the counselling process to allot seats to candidates in different government or private educational institutions across the state,” Chand said.
