Between the sticks there is no suggestion that Mamelodi Sundowns will put their faith in anyone other than Denis Onyango, at least in the league.

Rushine De Reuck and Grant Kekana are expected to continue their thus far fruitful partnership at the heart of the Brazilians defence. Together with Onyango, they give Sundowns an imposing facade. The pair have done well enough to keep Mosa Lebusa out of the team.

With Khuliso Mudau still injured Thapelo Morena should hold on to his place at right back while over on the other flank the name of Lyle Lakay will be one of the first on the teamsheet given what he brings from deadball situations and his crossing in open play.

Holding things down in midfield we expect to finally see Mothobi Mvala return to renew his relationship with Rivaldo Coetzee.

Themba Zwane has returned to full fitness and should yet again take up his customary position on the left wing, while over on the other side Gaston Sirino should be the man to start.

Peter Shalulile

In terms of strikers, Mamelodi Sundowns are seemingly now overstaffed after the return of Thabiso Kutumela to availability. Peter Shalulile will be one of the two strikers but the second slot is one that is the subject of conjecture. Kutumela will battle with the likes of Pavel Safranko, Kermit Erasmus and Haashim Domingo. Kutumela could get his shot at starting alongside Shalulile in this game.
