While claiming that Congress is responsible for the dreadful situation of the state, former Congress MLA Rk Anand, who is planning to contest the upcoming Assembly polls, has urged the people to extend support to Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP) and help in eliminating the Indian National Congress (INC) from the entire country.
A booth level committee meeting was organised by Election Committee Naoriya Pakhanglakpa Assembly Constituency for BJP Intending Candidate ex-MLA Rk Anand at his Kwakeithel Akham Leikai residence on Sunday.
The meeting was attended by RK Anand as chief guest and BJP Naoriya Pakhanglakpa Mandal president L Indrajit as president, while BJP Manipur Pradesh Office secretary Kh Radhakishore, Imphal West District president Ph Phoni Meitei and Kisan Morcha vice president and media in-charge M Dineshwar were present as guests of honour.

Manipur, which used to witness many human rights violation, bandh/blockades and strikes, is now experiencing a peaceful time following the advent of PM Modi-led central government and CM Biren-led state government, he added.
He then urged all concerned to extend their support to BJP so as to eliminate Congress' hold from the entire country, adding that Congress is responsible for the dreadful situation of the state.
"The BJP government has been working in line with the interests and sentiments of the people", the ex-MLA said, while stating that ILP system was implemented in the state by the central government.
