Afghanistan leg-spinner celebrated his 23rd birthday with his Sunrisers Hyderabad teammates in the UAE on Monday. The T20 globetrotter was given a cake facial by his teammates in the SRH team hotel.

Sunrisers Hyderabad said it's a tradition that is going on and Rashid was all smiles as he was smeared with cake all over his face by the likes of Khaleel Ahmed and Abhishek Sharma. The birthday cake was designed in the shape of a cricket ball with an upright seam as Rashid was seen cutting it in photos shared by Sunrisers Hyderabad on Monday.

"The tradition continues. The #Risers were there to ensure @rashidkhan_19 was the victim of a cake facial on his birthday," SRH said in a social media post.

Meanwhile, Sunrisers Hyderabad's former captain David Warner pulled Rashid Khan's leg with a cheeky comment on the franchise's post wishing the leg-spinner on his birthday.

"Happy Birthday @rashid.khan19 19," Warner wrote, taking a cheeky jibe at the Afghanistan star's age.

Rashid Khan's Afghanistan and SRH team mate Mohammad Nabi also wished the star spinner on the special day.

"Happy birthday Shenwari mama," Nabi wrote.

Rashid Khan is heading into the remainder of IPL 2021 after having a fine campaign for Trent Rockets in the inaugural edition of the Men's Hundred competition in August. Rashid picked up 12 wickets in 8 matches to be the joint-highest wicket-taker in the tournament.

The leg-spinner was in fine form in the first half of IPL 2021, picking up 10 wickets in 7 matches. He will be hoping to play a crucial role as Sunrisers look to find a way to recover from the poor run in India earlier this year. SRH managed to win only 1 match out of 7 in the first leg and are reeling at the bottom of the points table.
