THANE: The Thane Municipal Corporation (TMC) on Monday announced that the city would face 24-hour water cut on Wednesday and Thursday to carry out essential work.
The water supply in some areas will remain suspended from 9am on September 22 to 9am on September 23.
The TMC said that in order to install additional capacity pumping machinery at Raw Water Pumping Station at Pise and to carry out other essential works, water supply from its own schemes will remain shut.

However, during this period, water supply through STEM Authority will continue.
From 9am to 9pm on September 22, water supply will remain shut in Ghodbunder Road, Patlipada, Hiranandani Estate, Bramhand, Vijayanagari, Gaimukh, Balkum, Samtanagar, Akruti, Siddheshwar, Johnson, Eternity, Kolshet and Azadnagar areas.
Whereas from 9am on September 22 to 9am on September 23, water supply to Rutupark, Jail, Saket, Rustamji, Kalwa, and some parts of Mumbra will be cut off.
The civic body said that the water supply is likely to be maintained at low pressure for next two days and urged people to use water carefully.
