A Spartanburg man, wanted for attempted homicide in Spartanburg, has been arrested in Vermont, according to Vermont State Police.Police said they learned Philip Katon, 53, was believed to be traveling to Vermont with his wife in a white 1998 Ford Expedition.At 11:28 p.m. Monday, Burlington police reported a vehicle matching that description, according to Vermont State Police. Troopers, multiple police departments and the U.S. Marshal Service stopped Katon on an interstate and took him into custody without incident.Police said Katon did not post a $50,000 bail. He is set to appear in Franklin County Superior Court Tuesday at 1 p.m. for a charge of Fugitive From Justice.
