HYDERABAD:
Telangana recorded 244 new
Covid-19 cases and 1 death on Tuesday even as the number of active cases in the state stood at 4,938. The total count of cases since the beginning of the pandemic last year, stand at 6,63,906 and the death toll stands at 3,907.
A total of 296 patients were declared recovered on Tuesday, taking the total count of recovered patients to 6,55,061.
The
case fatality rate (CFR) stands at 0.58 percent while the recovery rate stood at 98.66 percent now. So far 79.8 percent of overall cases in the state have been
asymptomatic while 20.2 percent have been symptomatic.
On Tuesday, 50,505 samples were tested for the novel coronavirus. Telangana has now completed testing 2.59 crore samples and has reached 6.97 lakh sample testing per million population.
The
Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) recorded 72 cases on Tuesday, while neighbouring Medchal Malkajgiri recorded 9 cases, Ranga Reddy recorded 18 and Sanga Reddy recorded 3 cases. Outside of Hyderabad city and its outskirts, Karimnagar with 19 new cases recorded the highest number of cases.
