Thane city reports 64 new Covid-19 cases, one death

THANE: Thane city on Tuesday reported 64 new Covid-19 cases, taking the overall case count to 1,38,509.
Among the new cases, Majiwada-Manpada reported 21 cases, while 20 people tested positive in the Vartak Nagar ward.
Eight people tested positive in Uthalsar, followed by four each in Lokmanya-Savarkar Nagar and Diva, three in Kalwa, and two each in Naupada-Kopri and Wagle.
No new case was found in Mumbra.
Whereas, 55 people were discharged. Till date, 1,35,834 people have been recovered.
The recovery rate is 98.07 per cent, while the doubling rate is 1,864 days.
However, after five days, the lake city reported one new Covid-19 death. So far, 2,088 people have lost their lives.
The city is left with 587 active cases.
Meanwhile, over 20,00 doses were administered at the government centres and 15,651 at private centres.
So far, 12,57,130 people have been vaccinated.
