Sidhu a 'dangerous man', will make any sacrifice to keep him away from Punjab CM's post: Amarinder Singh
NEW DELHI: Former Punjab chief minister Captain Amarinder Singh on Wednesday called Navjot Singh Sidhu a "dangerous man" and said he was ready to make any sacrifice to save the country from the Punjab Congress chief.
Amarinder, who had cited Sidhu's close relations with Pakistan establishment to oppose his elevation as Congress's CM face in Punjab, said in a series of interviews that the cricketer-turned-politician is "dangerous for the state."
The former Punjab CM reiterated that he will fight tooth and nail to prevent his possible elevation to the post of chief minister.

The former Punjab CM said he'll pit a strong candidate against Sidhu in the 2022 assembly polls to ensure his defeat.

Amarinder indicated that he is still keeping his political options open and said he was talking to his friends before deciding on his future course of action.
"You can be old at 40 and young at 80," he quipped, making it clear that he did not see his age as a hurdle.
Asserting that he will leave politics only on a high, Amarinder said: "I was ready to leave after a victory but will never do so after a loss."
