    Bharti Airtel: Telecom operator Bharti Airtel's Rs 21,000 crore rights issue will open on October 5, according to a regulatory filing. The company has fixed September 28 as the record date for rights entitlement in the issue.

    Kalpataru Power Transmission: BSE-listed Kalpataru Power has won an arbitration award of more than $32 million (about Rs 236 crore) against the Rwanda Energy Group.

    Adani Ports: The Adani group company has concluded acquisition of the remaining 10.4 per cent stake in Gangavaram port from the Andhra Pradesh government for Rs 645 crore.

    Vodafone Idea: Vodafone Idea will survive and be competitive in the market and will invest the cash saved through the 4-year moratorium on AGR and spectrum payments into expanding its network and participating in 5G auctions instead of repaying debt, the company’s managing director Ravinder Takkar said Wednesday.

    Jubilant Ingrevia: The company said its subsidiary Jubilant Life Sciences International Pte has divested its 10 per cent stake in Safe Foods Corporation for a consideration of $18.2 million or around Rs 134.2 crore.

    IDFC: Shareholders of IDFC rejected the re-appointment of former CAG Vinod Rai as non-executive chairman of the company. The votes were cast at the company's 24th Annual General Meeting (AGM) on Wednesday for his re-appointment as non-independent non-executive director up to May 22, 2023.

    Titan Company: The Securities and Exchange Board of India (Sebi) has issued show-cause notices to 141 employees of Titan, India's largest watch and jewellery retailer, alleging violation of insider trading rules, said a person with knowledge of the matter.

    RBL Bank: An overwhelming 99.94 per cent of RBL Bank shareholders have approved the reappointment of Vishwavir Ahuja as the managing director and chief executive for the fourth term beginning June this year. Ahuja joined the bank in 2010 from Bank of America and has been the force behind the successful listing of the lender in August 2016.

    Zee Entertainment: The merger of Zee Entertainment Enterprises with Sony Pictures Network India (SPNI) will see the former's promoters get an additional 2 per cent stake as part of a non-compete agreement, while the appointment of Punit Goenka as MD and CEO of the merged entity was an "integral" part of the deal, Zee investors were informed on Wednesday.

    MCX: In a first, largest commodities bourse MCX is creating the post of chief operating officer, and the new appointment will be announced as early as early next month, a top exchange official has said.

    IT stocks: Cognizant Technology's net profit declined by about 40 per cent to Rs 3,265 crore in FY21 from Rs 5,464 crore in FY20, according to regulatory documents. The company's revenue also dipped nearly 5 per cent to Rs 29,682 crore in the fiscal ended March 31, 2020, from Rs 31,196 crore in FY2019.

    Ashok Leyland, Federal Bank: Commercial vehicle maker and Hinduja Group flagship Ashok Leyland announced signing an initial pact with private sector lender Federal Bank for a strategic partnership for vehicle financing.

    Infosys: The second largest It firm announced a strategic collaboration with Amazon Web Services (AWS) to develop quantum computing capabilities and use cases.

    CPCL: Chennai Petroleum Corporation Ltd, (CPCL), belonging to IndianOil Corporation Ltd, has begun work on a 9 MMTPA refinery and petrochemical complex being set up at an estimated investment of Rs 31,580 crore in Nagapattinam, Tamil Nadu, the company said on Wednesday.
