All decisions have been taken, keeping in mind the health and safety of players and officials primarily and the continuity and success of the tournament, according to the local organising committee.

Gokulam Kerala and Mohammedan feature in the first quarter-final of the Durand Cup. Goa and Delhi will battle against each other at the Mohun Bagan Ground as scheduled on Friday. Bengaluru and Army Green will complete the quarter-final stages of Durand Cup 2021 on Saturday.

Notably, last year's Durand Cup had to be cancelled due to the Covid-19 pandemic. In the previous edition of the historic tournament, held for the first time in the city, Gokulam Kerala emerged champions, beating Mohun Bagan 2-1 in front of a packed stadium, to register their first silverware in club history.
