Loose Women’s Kaye Adams has been told she may need a hearing aid after admitting she has been struggling to hear her colleagues.

The Scots presenter told her fans she was away to get her hearing testing after noticing that her ability to hear people was declining.

The 58-year-old said she and fellow Loose Women presenter Nadia Sawalha often struggle to hear one another.

She said on Instagram: "I absolutely guarantee they are gonna say I need a hearing aid."

She later emerged from her hearing test looking less than happy after she was told her hearing was 'borderline hearing aid.'

Kaye said: "The good news is it is free and the man was really lovely.

"And he said I have got a lovely set of drums. Um, this was my left ear. My right ear is borderline hearing aid which isn’t so good."

"All I need now is my piles, my corns, and my hip fixed and I’ll be right as rain," she joked.

Later on a social media live broadcast with her make-up artist she said: "I am a bit embarrassed I think.

"I mean glasses are quite cool but there is nothing cool about a hearing aid is there? He says I’m borderline. If I have to get one I have to get one."

"I actually discussed a cochlear implant but I think that’s a big operation."

A cochlear implant is a small electronic device that electrically stimulates the cochlear nerve for hearing.

The implant has external and internal parts. The external part sits behind the ear.

Kaye also revealed she had been to see if she was eligible for laser treatment on her eyes but that it wouldn't be straightforward so she was going to try wearing different contact lenses.
