HYDERABAD: Chief minister
K Chandrasekhar Rao will be leaving for Delhi on Friday afternoon.
During his three days stay in the capital, the CM will meet Union Jal Shakti minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat on September 25 and consumer affairs and commerce minister Piyush Goyal on September 26 apart from attending a meeting convened by the Union Home Ministry the same day.
This is CM's second visit to Delhi this month.
In the first week of September, the CM had visited the capital to lay the foundation stone for TRS party office `Telangana Bhavan’ in Delhi and had met Prime Minister Narendra Modi, home minister Amit Shah and Union minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat to represent various issues pertaining to the state. He camped in the national capital for nine days.
According to CMO officials, during his tour, the CM will meet the Union Jal Shakti minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat to discuss Krishna water sharing issues and implementation of gazette notification on
Krishna River Management Board (KRMB) and
Godavari River Management Board (GRMB) jurisdiction.
Official sources said even after meeting the Jal Shakti minister, the water resources department has been going ahead with its preparations to take over all projects and implement the gazette notification from October 14 without resolving the issues raised by the
Telangana government. Both Telangana and Andhra Pradesh governments have been shooting letters to the KRMB till now.
With Union minister Piyush Goyal, the CM is expected to raise concerns over the Centre’s decision not to procure paddy during Rabi season. He is going to discuss the concerns and impact on Telangana if the Centre does not procure some variety of rice.
