Odisha: Elephant rescue operation turns tragic, journalist dies

The elephant rescue operation at Mundali bridge in Cuttack turned into a tragic incident as the rescue boat capsized. The incident happened after the ODRAF boat involved in the rescue operation was attacked by the tusker. Some members of the rescue team and two media personnel swept away after the boat capsized. In the tragic incident, an OTV journalist Arindam Das died in the incident. Some ODRAF personnel were rescued and rushed to the hospital. The elephant was swept away when a herd of elephants was crossing the Mahanadi river.
