Here's how to describe Shah Rukh Khan in sign language; actor makes it to ISL dictionary launched by PM Modi

Bollywood's very own 'King Khan' rules the hearts of zillions of his fans around the globe. Lovingly called as 'The King of Romance' and 'Badshah of Bollywood' amongst many other titles, Shah Rukh Khan recently got a place for himself in the Indian Sign Language dictionary. The third edition of the ISL dictionary was launched by PM Narendra Modi on September 23, which is celebrated as International Day of Sign Languages every year. Shah Rukh's name is among 10,000 terms included in the latest edition of the dictionary by the Indian Sign Language Research and Training Centre. SRK's fans have been sharing the news on social media and showering love on their favourite actor for the same. A fan recently shared a video demonstrating the sign for Shah Rukh Khan. It shows a person holding two fingers like a gun close to the left chest and then tapping it twice. Other words and terms included in the latest edition are Shaheed Bhagat Singh, online banking, momos, pani-puri, carpooling etc. The ISL dictionary was first released in 2018 with 3000 terms and according to some reports names of actors Amitabh Bachchan, Priyanka Chopra and Salman Khan have been included in the previous editions. Apart from this, the Indian Sign Language has another connect to Bollywood and that is actor Ranveer Singh. Yes, you heard that right, Ranveer is amongst many who have been urging authorities through his social media handles and other platforms to declare Indian Sign Language as the 23rd official language of India. Recently, after PM Modi stated that ISL will be introduced as a subject in the schools in India, Ranveer had told a leading daily, 'I’m proud that my country has taken such a progressive step towards fostering inclusivity. This is going to tremendously benefit scores of people and mark a monumental shift regarding their rights. This step will create a ripple effect in providing equal access for them and empower the community to conquer the world.' Indian Sign Language dictionary will benefit special needs students, their teachers, parents and even the general population who would like to learn a new language.
