Katihar boy tops the UPSC 2020 civil service examination, Bihar CM extends good wishes

PATNA: CM Nitish Kumar on Friday congratulated Shubham Kumar, a native of Bihar’s Katihar district, on being the topper of the Union Public Service Commission’s 2020 civil services examination.
The results of the 2020 civil services examination were declared on Friday evening.
“After securing the top position in the 2020 civil services examination, Shubham Kumar, a native of Katihar district, has not only raised the prestige of Bihar but also made the whole country proud.His achievement will inspire other youths of Bihar to do more good things. I extend my congratulations and best wishes to Shubham Kumar,” Nitish said in a statement.
Nitish also informed that Bihar’s current development commissioner Amir Subhani had topped the 1987 civil services examination. Subhani is native of Bihar’s Siwan district, the CM said.
Shubham is an IIT- Bombay (civil) graduate.
“We are proud of our former B Tech student of batch 2014-18 (Shubham Kumar) of civil engineering department of IIT Bombay,” the head of civil engineering department said in a post on social media platform on Friday.
