A Vancouver-based athleticwear company has become the new supplier of apparel and accessories for Canada’s Olympic teams.

On September 23, the Canadian Olympic Committee and Canadian Paralympic Committee named Lululemon as Team Canada’s official outfitter.

The partnership will span four Olympics games, beginning with the 2022 Winter Olympics in Beijing, and will continue until the 2028 Summer Olympics in Los Angeles.

The company will provide clothing for opening ceremonies, medal ceremonies, closing ceremonies, media opportunities, and Athletes’ Village wear.

      Lululemon

Lululemon has already started selling Olympic merchandise, including the Future Legacy Bag, with 10 percent of sales from each bag to support the Canadian Olympic Foundation and Paralympic Foundation of Canada.

A selection of Team Canada apparel and accessories are also became available online and in stores across Canada, as of September 23.

The Team Canada athlete kit (with additional designs available for customers) will be released in October.

This new contract means that Lululemon will replace Hudson’s Bay, which has been the official outfitter since the 2006 Winter Olympics in Italy. Prior to that partnership, Roots supplied Team Canada, starting with the 1998 Winter Games in Japan.
